Hey there!
Welcome to Refined Not Defined: The Pretty Gritty!
I’m so excited to get started. The Lord put it on my heart to begin writing.
To share some things I’ve experienced. What I’ve gone through and am currently going through. What I’ve been able to work through and been set free from. And what I am currently struggling with and how I am navigating it.
So, here I am. Taking that step.
Being vulnerable and obedient.
He can use the absolute worst and darkest parts of our life, to be our biggest blessing. He uses those things to “refine” us using the broken pieces of our life, and not feel shame and condemnation, or “defined” about our life BC. (Before Christ)
It’s not religion, it’s a relationship.
It’s not just saying grace before you eat or going to church on Sudays and doing whatever the rest of the time. It’s how you live your life because He gave his. This is Something I didn’t truly understand until a few years ago.
So, I will just be sharing things I have learned and am currently learning in my walk with Jesus. Sharing what I am struggling with, and how I manage things while in the grip. My strengths and failures. Mistakes and small wins.
All of this in hopes that, by being vulnerable and open to sharing, somebody out there won’t feel so alone and shame about what they are going through and the mistakes they have made.
Thank you for being patient with me as I navigate through this new endeavor and work out the wrinkles.
We are all human and will never be perfect while living in a broken world, but thankfully we know the one who was.
Life is hard!
We weren’t made to do it alone.
So, let’s not.
More to come soon.
Hebrews 10:23-25 NLT
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
